FBC Volunteer Statement of Faith
Please read the FBC Statement of Faith thoroughly and asnwer the question below.
1. The Bible - The true, inspired and sufficient Word of God
2. Trinity – One God, three persons
3. Jesus – Both fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, died on a cross for our sins and rose again
on the third day and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God
4. Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is God and His purpose is to glorify Christ and indwell in us
5. Man – Created in the image of God - Male and Female with unique roles at creation and at birth
with equal dignity, value and worth - but given the choice, fell into sin and needs redemption
through Christ
6. Salvation – We are saved through Christ and Him alone when we recognize and repent of sin
7. Ordinances – Baptism and communion are ordinances but not a means of salvation
8. Marriage – An institution of God and is the coming together of one man and one woman for life
9. Second Coming – Christ will return and all will be made right
10. Church – The true church is all those that belong to Christ, brought together by the Spirit
